Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Manages CNC team of 20 machinists and operators.

• Develops and maintains production schedule for CNC machines according to production forecasting

• Develops and manages shift schedule for CNC team

• Coordinates with Maintenance Technician to schedule preventative maintenance for all CNC mills and lathes

• Uses common sense and reasoning ability to troubleshoot machine problems

• Oversees training and development of CNC operators and machinists

• Proactively seeks to improve production efficiency and quality

• Ensures that the machine shop is run in a safe and organized fashion

• Set clear production and professionalism goals for the CNC team

• Demonstrates respect for all employees

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

• Previous Management experience required, previous machine shop / CNC management a plus

• Machining CNC Degree a plus

• CNC programming experience a plus

• Must be able to thoroughly read mechanical blueprints

• Multiple years’ experience as a CNC operator or machinist

• Proven history in meeting goals and deadlines

Work hours:

This is a full-time salary position. The position requires the ability to work on varying schedules which might include shift work (day or nights), weekdays or weekends and some holidays.
