QAD is searching for full time CNC Swiss Style Lathe, and CNC Mill, Machinists to join our growing team. This is a production facility where the Machinist are the go-to person for setups, programming, and overall machine improvements to ensure that the machines are running at their maximum capacity and ensuring top quality parts are produced.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Provides Leadership for CNC operators as needed
- Performs and Directs Machine Setups / Change Overs
- Must be able to read, comprehend and understand mechanical blueprints
- Must be able to check calibration, read and use digital calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and other measurements tools as needed
- Must have great attention to detail for part inspection
- A hard work ethic and supporting a team approach
- Perform scheduled maintenance plans for all machines
- Ability to move up to 70 lbs. on your own
- Keep work areas safe, productive and clean
- Fanuc control experience a plus
- G code and M code programming knowledge
- Must have the ability to work on varying schedules which might include shift work (day or nights), weekdays or weekends and some holidays
